Senior Designer
Dagger is a full-service creative agency leading the way in Atlanta. Driving clients’ business outcomes with a nimble, media-company mindset, we innovate new ways to capture attention by distributing valuable content across media.
We’re a close-knit group of deeply driven, passionate, innovative thinkers, makers, and doers. We’re looking for another stellar addition to our team to help us cultivate ideas that strengthen our client offerings, win more awards, and achieve our goal of being the most compelling Atlanta-born agency the industry has ever seen.
We’re looking for a Senior Designer who’s ready to make an impact by creating beautiful and highly conceptual visual assets across print, digital, social media, and beyond. You'll be supporting our creative team by not only designing, but also bringing your conceptual thinking to life through large-scale visual campaigns and individual assets that captivate.
As a multidisciplinary designer, your talents will shine in many areas, including building brand identities from the ground up and creating compelling assets that work within established brand guidelines across multiple platforms. You’ll bring meticulous attention to detail when building and designing files to spec, and you’ve got a strong understanding of print production (with some motion design skills to boot).
You're more than just a designer—you’re a conceptual thinker, a visual storyteller, and a creative force with a hunger to produce innovative, beautiful work. You’re strategic, self-driven, and able to clearly communicate your viewpoint and ask for help when needed. You know how to tackle a project from concept to completion, and your keen eye ensures every piece of creative stands out from the competition. Whether it’s color, composition, typography, motion, or photography, you approach each element with passion and precision, crafting designs that leave a lasting impression.
You’re always evolving—soaking up knowledge, welcoming feedback, and constantly elevating your craft. You stay ahead of industry trends, embrace the latest innovations, and have a solid grip on ai prompting and image generation across multiple platforms. Your portfolio? It’s packed with a diverse range of work, from logos and brand identities to websites, social media, motion graphics, OOH, digital banners, and everything in between.
If you’re ready to create bold, visually stunning work that makes an impact, we’d love to see what you’ve got.
This role is based in Atlanta, GA (we're a hybrid workplace).
How do you know if this role is right for you?
If you’re really good at...
- Using design software (Adobe Suite, ai), prototyping tools (Figma), and deck design platforms (Google Suite, PowerPoint, Keynote) to bring your designs to life, all while collaborating with and receiving guidance from our creative leaders.
- Building extensions across established looks and feels into fully fleshed-out executions and mechanicals, all while juggling multiple projects and brands with ease. Your work aligns seamlessly with any provided brand guidelines, delivering creativity that’s on-brief, standout, and stays true to brand guidelines (where applicable)..
- Contributing to the development of brand identities (anywhere from one-off logos to full brand identity systems complete with brand guidelines) that meet the brief / goals of our clients.
- You’re an expert in file prep—building assets to spec for print, digital, social, OOH, web, and beyond—ensuring every file is pixel-perfect, cohesive, and ready for release.
- Maintaining meticulous file structure. You’re not just a designer—you’re an organizational wizard. Your files are well labeled, designed to specs, easy to find, and ready to go to print.
- Constantly honing your presentation skills, making sure you can confidently present work to internal teams and clients, whether virtually or in person.
- Embodying a proactive attitude toward growth. We expect our Dags to have an insatiable appetite for learning, improving, and advocating for your own development, meeting challenges and tough conversations with empathy and candor.
- Methodical and thorough design—whether it’s motion graphics, illustration, or iconography—you’ll bring ideas to life that align perfectly with the creative brief and a keen attention to detail.
- Taking ownership: you welcome feedback early and often, and use it to continuously elevate your work. You manage your time effectively and never miss a deadline.
- Trendspotting: you’re constantly plugged into the latest in ai, internet culture, trends, and the ever-evolving digital landscape.
And you have...
- A blend of formal education, training, and 4-8 years of experience in a fast-paced, creative agency, branding studio, or equally vibrant environment.
- A portfolio that is packed with diverse work that showcases your ability to develop brand identities, craft social media campaigns, design for web, motion graphics, print, OOH, digital display ads, and everything in between.
- Attention to detail. You’re a master of your craft. And an expert when it comes to Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, Google Suite, Canva, Figma, and ai tools like MidJourney, DALL·E, and Runway. Additionally, you have a knack for illustration and (ideally) motion design, taking concepts and turning them into visually striking realities.
- A love for creativity and insatiable hunger fuels work that not only stands out, but drives real results. You pay attention to all the details. Whether you’re tweaking kerning or finessing the final write ups in a deck, you recognize that each and every nuance matters.
- A team mentality. You’re all about teamwork—collaborating with creatives and strategists gets you fired up. You’re constantly pushing yourself to grow, making each project better than the last, and ensuring your work is aligned with the brief and broader team vision.
- A growth mindset and a relentless desire to produce the best work of your career, always reaching for that next level.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are part of your toolkit, allowing you to articulate ideas with clarity and conviction.
- Most importantly, an openness to be part of a team that’s filled with kind, smart, hungry, and proactive individuals that appreciate collaborating, brainstorming, and producing work that they’re not only proud of, but is culturally relevant and impactful.
...we’d love to meet you. Apply today!
Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every qualification. At Dagger, we are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
